Embark on a scenic journey deep into the heart of the Himalayas to reach our serene camp at Shaama. Breaking the long drive, rest and unwind at the picturesque Bob's Place for the first night. Perched at 6000 feet above sea level amidst the enchanting Kumaon mountains, Bob's Place gives you the right mix of everything you would want for a relaxing stop-over. Nestled in the midst of a lush fruit orchard, embraced by deodar and oak forests, this haven allows to seamlessly transition from our everyday routines and reconnect with nature, sprinkled with a touch of luxury. The stone-and-wood cottages, each with its own sit-out and garden, provide a cozy retreat. The terraced gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers, serve as perfect spots to relax and absorb the
breath-taking Himalayan vistas. As night falls, we gather around the crackling bonfire, gazing at the stars, and preparing ourselves for an invigorating hike/run in the morning.
The thoughtful integration of essential living with a touch of comfort at Bob's Place ensures a perfect prelude before we embark on our 8-day adventure at Camp Shaama.
We take a short scenic 50 km drive from Bob's Place, transitioning from the comforting embrace of luxury to the heart of the Himalayas. This short drive brings us to the starting point of a 3.5 km hike, leading us to Camp Shaama. Nestled on a peninsula amidst a vast expanse of mountains, the camp offers a 360-degree view of the majestic Himalayan range.
In collaboration with Wildrift Adventures, who specialise in leading treks and other outdoor experiences in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, All In Running brings you an eco-friendly nature camp that takes you away from the bustle of daily life. The camp features locally crafted stone huts, providing shelter from the mountain winds and warmth during the night. The communal area offers intimate views of Nanda Kot, Nanda Devi, the Namik Valley, and the Ramganga River Valley. Immerse yourself in the simplicity and contentment of mountain life, relish locally cooked organic meals, observe vibrant birdlife, and unwind in the high grass—a perfect Pahadi retreat.
As the day winds down, our camp transforms into a hub of camaraderie. Guests unwind by sharing stories, playing games, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Evenings come alive around the bonfire, where we reflect on the day's adventures fostering bonds amidst the Himalayan tranquillity.
After two days on the road, it's finally time to lace up your running shoes! We set out for a thrilling 16+ km trail run that kicks off from the camp and weaves through the local forest area and quaint villages. Descending into the valley, we explore a neighbouring village before ascending back through the forest. Witness stunning views of iconic Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Trishul, Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot on the climb up.
Refreshments, tea, and a hot breakfast await us back at the camp, providing the perfect conclusion to this trail run.
After a long and fun outing the previous day, this day is relatively “easy” with a little over 10 kms of running. Enjoy a scenic trail run with a mix of ascents and descents along local hillsides and ridgelines. As the sun rises, soak in spectacular views of the Panchachuli peaks and the Ramganga river valley. The trail navigates through diverse landscapes, offering a delightful running experience.
After the run, return to the camp for relaxation and reminisce the morning adventure.
Set out on the highlight of our journey with a 20+ km adventure along a section of the Namik Glacier trekking route. Starting from the charming Namik village, the last settlement in this valley, we ascend towards Susundri pass (3000+m). Crossing the pass, we descend through a long technical route into the neighbouring valley. While trekkers typically take 3-4 days for this trek, we aim to finish it in a 5+ hour push. Experience the heart of the Himalayan wilderness, passing through blooming Rhododendron forests this time of the year (spring), traverse water streams and high meadows while enjoying panoramic views of the majestic peaks in the region.
It will be a long and challenging day in the mountains, definitely rewarding with the breath-taking beauty of the forest and the awe-inspiring views making every effort worthwhile.
The last and ultimate challenge of our Shaama camp concludes with a thrilling hike and run to a local temple at Shikhar. This demanding 5 km route boasts a 750+ meter ascent, beginning with a comfortable uphill grade that gradually transforms into a strenuous climb with numerous stone stairs crafted by villagers. As we reach the summit, the vibrant colours of the temple against the forest backdrop offer a stunning panorama of the Himalayan range, creating a truly awe-inspiring setting. Share offerings in this sacred space and then brace yourself for a technical descent back to the camp.
Reserved for those with the endurance and willpower to push through fatigue, this climb is an opportunity to discover new limits, both physically and mentally. This exhilarating final day, where triumph awaits those ready to rediscover themselves amidst the Himalayan heights.
Are you up for the challenge?"

Nature's power is undeniable, and anyone who has embraced the outdoors understands the unpredictability it brings. Running amidst the serenity of single-track forest trails, navigating steep slopes, and exploring new paths involve inherent risks. The dynamic nature of the trail increases the likelihood of slipping or falling, emphasising the critical need for runners to remain vigilant at all times—no exceptions!
To ensure your safety and well-being, All In Running extends adventure and sports insurance coverage to all participants throughout the camp's duration. This commitment reflects our dedication to your security during every trail run. It's essential to note that standard health insurance doesn't cover adventure and outdoor activities, such as hiking or trail running. Surprisingly, even injuries during a road marathon may not be covered by your insurance provider.
During all trail runs, a designated member of our support team, will carry a basic first aid kit. Multiple team members are certified in CPR and first aid response. In the event of a serious fall or injury, cooperation from the individual is crucial. Since the trails are remote with no access to motorable vehicles, extraction may involve a mule or the assistance of another person. While it might be inconvenient or painful, this is the fastest way to reach the nearest hospital or medical facility, which is typically 2-3 hours away.
While we fervently hope for the well-being of all runners, it's imperative for participants to remain aware of on-ground response and rescue situations at all times. Your safety is our top priority, and we want you to embark on this trail running adventure with peace of mind.
In alignment with the core ethos of trail running, participants are entrusted with the responsibility of being self-sufficient during their runs. This implies that no external support, be it in terms of hydration, food, or any other provision, will be extended during the runs. Runners are required to carry all necessary supplies on their own at all times throughout the outing. Please refer to the gear requirements section for comprehensive information.
We are extremely conscious of our impact on the trail. Each runner is urged to refrain from littering the trail under any circumstances. We follow "leave no trace" principles to show our commitment to preserve the trail in its pristine and natural state. Each runner is encouraged to carry a trash bag for their own waste. At the conclusion of our trail running camp, we diligently collect all our trash and bring it back to the city.
Start your trail running journey fully prepared by tapping into our exclusive pre-camp training materials and webinars. Our seasoned coaches share valuable insights into trail running techniques, strategies, and essential tips to elevate your overall experience.
